I attended CrossFit at your gym this past week, on my vacation. I just wanted to comment on what a great job you’ve done hiring a knowledgeable staff/trainers. I’ve attended a number of CrossFit gyms on some trips I’ve taken recently, and this hasn’t always been the case. It was nice to get a solid workout that incorporated all the very necessary fundamental aspects of CrossFit (mobility, proper form, and strength). It was a pleasure, and I wanted you to know it was appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support. I love crossfit…it is actually the first exercise program I have stuck to for this long. Mind you, I am always the last one to finish (especially on a run) and am the only one with the longest period of time to finish a WOD, but you have to start somewhere right? I curse crossfit while I’m in class but feel amazing afterwards…
By the way, love love love the instructors…Josh and Drew are awesome. They are super helpful to newbies like me and Damon, and they are so motivating….absolutely love attending their classes. Also, the people attending the classes are helpful and motivating as well. I was having such difficulty doing the WOD this past Tuesday and a girl I don’t even know came over held my feet and gave me inspirational tips on finishing. I WAS AMAZED.

I have really felt great the last week, I’m positive its the diet. Maybe your average client does know, but I had no idea how much a change in diet would have such a positive effect on me. I have way more energy! My cravings have changed too – I actually caught myself craving grapes yesterday. I think Beach Fitness’s concentration on diet and nutrition is a great offering to clients. This program should be used for all clients; I believe everyone would benefit from Beach Balance. I know, if you told me how much a difference a few weeks of these changes would make, I wouldn’t believe you. Like the average guy, I’d shrug it off and go get a burger after working out, but the short-term results have been compelling.
In my experience fitness gains are incremental, slow, hopefully consistent. But controlling the nutrition part of the equation really results in immediate energy, mood changes, and my results have been supercharged! FIRED UP!!

I had been working out at Beach Fitness for a while when I received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. My Doctor at USC suggested I participate in a clinical trial involving exercise. I agreed and was lucky enough to have the bio-kinesiologist, physical therapist come and work with the trainers and me at Beach Fitness. The research has been very positive as to the effects of vigorous exercise and it’s ability to delay the progression of the disease.
I can’t say enough about the caring attitude of the trainers. The team there led by Bryce Turner volunteered their time so they could be trained in dealing with PD as well as other neurological disorders. They all are constantly motivating and finding ways pushing and challenge me, sometimes beyond my comfort zone. My thanks to the great team at Beach Fitness, and especially Bryce Turner!!!
